Weekly Open Hack Night
April 3 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Code for Miami is pleased to host Jane Gilbert, newly appointed Chief Resiliency Officer of the City of Miami, for an invigorating discussion about how data and technology may be used to help citizens and local agencies mitigate against and adapt to impacts of sea level rise and climate change. We will have an opportunity to ask her about initiatives that the City of Miami is undertaking and data that might be available from the City.
ABOUT JANE: For the last 20 years, Jane Gilbert has created and led initiatives focused on strengthening our Greater Miami through public – private partnerships. Most recently, as a consultant to The Miami Foundation, Ms. Gilbert was the primary coordinator of the successful, unified application by Greater Miami and the Beaches to join the Rockefeller Foundation’s 100 Resilient Cities initiative. She also managed The Miami Foundation’s civic leadership agenda on sea level rise.
PLEASE NOTE: The Sea Level Rise session has been rescheduled from Monday, March 27 to Monday, April 3. We will have a regular hack session on Monday, March 27, and there will be an opportunity to work on sea level rise projects.
